Misty Buckley is a production designer based in London.
She trained at St. Martins College and is a qualified CAD technician and competent draughtsperson.
The last few years have seen her working on large scale touring shows, including Coldplay and Take That and more recently, she has taken on the role of art director at the Olympics closing ceremony whilst simultaneously designing the Paralympics closing ceremony. She has designed sets for live arena events and televised music shows including Biffy Clyro, The Brits, T4 Stars, Tokio Hotel and Bat for Lashes. Since 2007, Misty has been the creative director of The Park, and other areas at Glastonbury Festival.
Whilst unfazed by the enormity of a large scale, high profile project, Misty stays true to her artistic roots and uses her natural ability to produce exquisite detail as well as meticulous planning during every phase of the working process.
With her extensive experience, Misty is able to lead and inspire those whom she works alongside, collaborating with fellow designers, artists and makers to create and achieve an entirely professional result.
Misty Buckley Design is group of artists, set-dressers, illustrators and designers led by Misty Buckley and her husband Reg Matheson.
